The design concept is derived from “SUBAK”, a Balinese rice terrace which has stratified levels. Therefore, each villa of a total 84 units has spectacular views towards the sea offshore.

Each villa is designed to not only integrates with the surrounding nature but also reflect the cultural richness and diversity of Bali. It features long sized swimming pool, sunbathing deck, relaxing “bale-bale” (gazebo) and plumeria (frangipani) tree. Green Globe standard of environment-friendly concept is clearly applied on the design principles of ALILA VILLAS ULUWATU.

“We use local materials; that are our selling point,” said Esther Leogenda. For instance, walls of the villa are covered by Palimanan stones from Yogyakarta while the walls of the fence outside the villa unit are using limestone from the Uluwatu hill. In addition, the flat roof of the villa is coated with black volcanic stones which perform as insulator and growing media for the natural vegetation.
