Property Business Grow Fast in Makassar

Property sector in Eastern Indonesia, especially in Makassar has been growing rapidly. Several malls have been erected as well as the residential complexes have been developed. The growth of property project in “Angin Mamiri” City is driven by the growth of people’s need there.

M. Harrys, a property entrepreneur said that Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi Province is offering property business potentials especially in developing residence. Now, you can even find apartment towers there. One of the developers, Kalla Group is building an apartment aiming new people who came from out of Makassar to move and live in the city.

Some other developers build townhouses in Makassar. They sell them ID Rp 500 millions (US $51,000) for one unit.

In Panakukang, developer builds a new housing complex and put the price of ID Rp 800 millions – 1.1 billions (US $81,000 – 112,000) for one unit.

People in Makassar have good buying power since they commonly work in agriculture industries which export their crops all around the world. Their lifestyle is now similar to people of Jakarta. You can find many commercial centers in Makassar, the city formerly known as Ujung Pandang, namely Makassar Town Square, Panakukang Mall, etc.

Para Group has been developing Trans Studio Resort Makassar (TSRM) projects in a strategic location, Tanjung Bunga. This US $100 million dollar project will consist of shopping mall, indoor entertainment park, five star hotels, and office towers.
