Ciputra World Surabaya, the prestigious mixed use project in Surabaya City

Ciputra Group, the most experienced developers of Indonesia has been developing two giant projects: Ciputra World of Jakarta and Ciputra World of Surabaya. In Surabaya, Ciputra World is located in Jalan Mayjen Sungkono, the prominent commercial district of Surabaya City. In this area of 7 hectares, Ciputra Surya, the subsidiary company of Ciputra Group has been building the mixed use development comprising six apartment towers (1,500 units), one office tower, one five-star-hotel (150,000 sqm) with 3,000 m32 ballrom, and a leading shopping mall with Gross Floor Area of 150,000 m2.

This Ciputra World project will take total investment of US $91 millions. 24.9% of total investment comes from paid in capital, another 24.9% from pre-sales, and 50.2% from bank’s loan.

This project will be developed in four phases. In the first phase, Ciputra builds the Shopping Mall and two apartment towers in the land of 3 hectares. The Shopping Mall will be 86,000 sqm of gross floor area with 56,832 m 2 rentable area and parking area of 65,600 sqm wide. The two apartments will be 38 stories tower sold with strata titled ownership, prices ranging from US $960 – 990 per sqm (US $581,000 – 112,250 per unit).


The Ciputra Shopping Mall will feature unique strong points of the tallest escalator in Asia, 16.8 meters high. This Mall will operate daily until midnight and aimed to be the center of entertainment and lifestyle for people of Surabaya. It will be managed by Ciputra Group which has proven expertise in managing malls; i.e. Mal Ciputra Jakarta, Mal Ciputra Semarang and Mal Ciputra Seraya Pekanbaru.


The first two apartments of total six towers will shape the skyline of the area. Between the two apartments and the mall’s roof there will lay 1 hectare green garden. The garden will make a cozy and spacious atmosphere for the exclusive apartment. Each tower has the best view and limited units. The Residence will be equipped with 7,000 m2 outdoor facilities on the 7th floor and connecting doors to the Mall. The Residence will be handed over to the customers in 2010.


Two complete this prestigious project, Ciputra Group made partnership with nine firms. The architectural design was delivered by DP Architect, a world class architect from Singapore. The firm has many experiences in designing prestigious buildings in the world: The Esplanade Singapore – theater on the bay, Dubai Mall – the largest mall in the world as well as some projects in Jakarta: Senayan City Shopping Mall, The Peak Apartment, Setiabudi Residence, Podomoro City, and others.

The construction has already started in July 2008 and is to be complete in August 2009. The launching ceremony will be in November 2008.

Since early 1990, Ciputra Group has committed to develop township and recreational projects in Surabaya, namely Citra Raya Surabaya, Bukit Palma Surabaya, Citra Harmoni Sidoarjo, Citra Garden Sidoarjo, The Taman Dayu Pandaan recreational area, Ciputra Golf & Family Club Surabaya, and Ciputra Waterpark.
