St. Moritz, the Tallest Building in Indonesia

Indonesia will have one of the tallest buildings in the world as Lippo Group is to build The St. Moritz, a residential project in the area of 135 hectare in Puri Indah, West Jakarta. The 66 floored building will be the icon as the tallest building in Indonesia.

Michael Riyadi, the Director of Lippo Karawaci said that St Moritz will consist of 17 skyscrapers which one of them will be 65 floored. The office spaces are exclusively for Top 500 Fortunes Companies.

There will be 20 thousand people living in St Moritz and 13 thousand people in the apartments (2,600 units). In the area, there will be 45 hectare exclusive shopping mall with Sea World inside, 5 stars hotel with 500 luxurious rooms managed by Aryaduta, 6 hectare Convention Center, Siloam Hospital, Cinema 21, Fitness Centers, 2,500 m2 spa, country club, wedding chapel, and helipad.

St Moritz Penthouse and Residence claims to be the one and only property development in Indonesia which merge 11 in 1, eleven facilities in one area. It integrates new concept of vertical city with global standard facilities. Lippo is inviting world class consultant to accomplish the project.

Michael is very certain the St Moritz will beyond other property projects in Indonesia. The area planned to be divided as blocks, similar to cosmopolitan world’s cities as London and New York. Lippo Group invests 11 trillion IDR (1.2 billion USD) in this project. All come from internal asset of the Group.

In the first phase, Lippo has been building 3 apartments: The St. Moritz, The St. Tropez, and The St. Monaco for 2.5 years. Those three apartments are the exclusive and private ones. The St. Moritz consists of only 4 units in each floor. St Tropez has only 6 units in each floor and 8 units in each floor for St Monaco.

At this moment, Peak Tower (55 floors) and BNI 46 (55 floors) claimed to be the tallest building in Indonesia. In the neighborhood country, Petronas of Malaysia (88 floor) stands to be the tallest building. In the end of this year, Burj Dubai is about to complete their 850 m height construction to claim the tallest building on earth.
